The Emergence of the European Forum of Inclusion Practitioners
AN ERASMUS GRANT
We are delighted to inform you that Wallberg Education (Sweden) in partnership with the International Forums of Inclusion Practitioners (UK), Maria Regina College Naxxar Induction Hub (Malta), Inclusion4All (Netherlands), Universidad Autonoma de Madrid (Spain), Deák Diák Ének- zenei Általános Iskola és Gimnázium (Hungary), The Foundation for Global Human Dignity (Malta), and Agenzija Sapport (Malta) has been just granted an ERASMUS Grant to set up a European network of Inclusion Practitioners and an online platform for Europe-specific inclusive teaching resources for practitioners.
More specifically, the project aims to build a Europe-wide network of inclusion practitioners, called the International Forum of InclusionPractitioners – Europe (IFIP Europe), strengthening teachers’ and school leaders’ capacities to better respond to the increased diversity ofinclusion challenges of our times, contributing to building more equitable education systems Europe- wide that meet the needs of every child.
The project will set up a learning platform on inclusive practices in education with open-source access to any inclusion practitioner in Europe. The platform will host a variety of practical tools, learning resources, and spaces to engage in collaborative dialogue, learning, and peer-supportactivities among teachers and school leaders, eventually contributing to a change in mindsets on inclusion and increased competencies in responding to the growing diversity of Europe's student community.
Project activities:
- Launching the International Forum of Inclusion Practitioners - Europe (IFIP EUROPE)
- Developing an online one-stop-shop for education practitioners on good practices of inclusion, including:
- An interactive Inclusion Map of Europe
- A searchable Inclusion Practice Bank
- An Inventory of cutting-edge professional development resources for teachers on inclusive teaching
- Inclusion Expert Database of experienced inclusion practitioners for teachers to seek targeted support from
- A Teachers’ Forum to discuss matters of inclusion
- A School Principals’ Forum to discuss matters of inclusion
- Inclusion Help Desk to provide support to teachers on concrete cases and challenges of inclusion.
