Our Latest Flagship School: Gardens Commercial High School

The IFIP welcomes Gardens Commercial High School in Cape Town South Africa as our latest flagship school. Gardens Commercial is an inner city school which serves a diverse community with learners aged 12 – 18 years. At the start of each year the Grade 8 learners arrive from approximately eighty different primary schools.  They welcome students from different socio-economic backgrounds, who speak different home languages, from different religions and cultural backgrounds. 

 

School Principal, Dylan Tommy says, “Our goal is to make sure every learner at our school to feels welcome and gets the best quality education possible. I believe that the Global Inclusive Teaching Initiative will give our educators the skills to achieve this goal.”
